Save the Date !

On November 14, 2008, the Institut Pasteur will celebrate its 120 years. Since it was created in 1888, the foundation has been contributing to the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases through research, teaching and health initiatives. The Institut Pasteur is marking the event with three major conferences, oriented around our main research themes:

- Metchnikoff’s Legacy in 2008 from 28-30 April 2008. Elie Metchnikoff
was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology and Medicine in 1908 for
his work on cellular immunity.

- 25 years of HIV then follows on 19-21 May 2008. Rather than reflect
on the HIV revolution, the meeting looks towards cutting edge research
from structures to vaccines.

- Finally in the fall, 11-13 November 2008, there is a general
infectious diseases congress under the title Understanding and
controlling Infectious Diseases: an agenda for the XXIst century.
