Resumo

Introduction: Natural products have been a source of important drugs to treat infectious disease. Inga laurina (Fabaceae) is a tropical plant with distribution in Central America and South America and It has wide distribution in Brazil, occurring from the Amazon to the northeast and south to Paraná in almost all vegetation .Popularly known as white-inga, Inga-de-chichica, Inga-of-monkey, Inga-of-beach, Inga-Mirim or Ingaí. Candida infections are the cause of death in immunocompromised patients and immunocompetent. Candida albicans is still considered most common specie in candidemia, but Candida glabrata has emerge as notable pathogen in the oral and vulvo-vaginal candidiasis in Latin America and world. The use of natural products with traditional treatment for treat infectious disease for patients in chemotherapy is real. The evaluation of possible interactions is important. In previous work Inga laurina showed good activity against Candida glabrata, yeast that demonstrated intrinsic resistance to fluconazole and Anfotericin B. Materials and Methods: The evaluation of the effect combinatorial, synergistic, additive or antagonistic between the crude extract, fractions and phytochemicals isolated from leaves Inga laurina with fluconazole and anfotericin B against Candida sp was performed accord checkerboard microtiter plate testing.Results: The ethanol extract showed synergistic activity with fluconazole against Candida glabrata (ATCC90180). The acetyl fraction, butanol fraction and water-alcohol fraction showed additive activity with fluconazole against Candida albicans(ATCC64548) and Candida glabrata. The molecule 1-rhamnopyranosyl -2-galoil-3,5-dyhidroxyphenyl showed additive activity with fluconazole in Candida glabrata . Synergic interaction not was observed for two isomers against Candida glabrata. The acetyl fraction showed additive interactions of Amphotericin B for Candida glabrata. Discussion and Conclusion: Inga laurina and phytochemicals reveals good activity when administrated with fluconazole against Candida sp, while extract and fractions when administrated with anfotericin B is indifferently. The study of interaction reveal more activity additive and its resulted is important against drug resistance yeasts. Bolsa: CAPES
